On a run down this deserted road the morning before, I noticed the beauty of the early-morning stars and planets rising at the end of the road. During the run, in the 40 minutes or so before sunrise, I was treated to Mars, Venus & Mercury (I think), and had hoped to capture them. As I waited for that, I made this exposure of Ursa Minor (1019 seconds, f/8, 18mm on Nikon D200) and another of Cassiopeia. As you can see, clouds started to form during this exposure, and by the time of sunrise, the sky was slate gray. No planets. But I did get this very cool photo.
